چکیده

Abstract. We extend Sklyanin’s method of separation of variables to quantum integrable models associated to elliptic curves. After reviewing the differential case, the elliptic Gaudin model studied by Enriquez, Feigin and Rubtsov, we consider the difference case and find a class of transfer matrices whose eigenvalue problem can be solved by separation of variables. These transfer matrices are associated to representations of the elliptic quantum group Eτ,η(sl2) by difference operators. One model of statistical mechanics to which this method applies is the IRF model with antiperiodic boundary conditions. The eigenvalues of the transfer matrix are given as solutions of a system of quadratic equations in a space of higher order theta functions.

Separation of Variables and Vacuum Structure of Massive N=2 Susy Qcd

We show how the method of separation of variables can be used to construct integrable models corresponding to curves describing vacuum structure of N = 2 SUSY Yang-Mills theories. In particular, we consider hyperelliptic curves of N = 2 SUSY QCD with even number of hypermultiplets with pairwise coinciding masses. We show that in the SU(3) case the curves correspond to the generalisations of the...

Hilbert Schemes, Separated Variables, and D-Branes

We explain Sklyanin’s separation of variables in geometrical terms and construct it for Hitchin and Mukai integrable systems. We construct Hilbert schemes of points on T ∗Σ for Σ = C,C∗ or elliptic curve in some detail and show that their complex deformations are integrable systems of CalogeroSutherland type. We present the hyperkahler quotient constructions for Hilbert schemes of points on cot...

Algebraic description of Jacobians isogeneous to certain Prym varieties with polarization (1,2)∗

For a class of non-hyperelliptic genus 3 curves C which are 2-fold coverings of elliptic curves E, we give an explicit algebraic description of all birationally nonequivalent genus 2 curves whose Jacobians are degree 2 isogeneous to the Prym varieties associated to such coverings. Our description is based on previous studies of Prym varieties with polarization (1,2) in connection with separatio...

Conformal field theory and integrable systems associated to elliptic curves

It has become clear over the years that quantum groups (i.e., quasitriangular Hopf algebras, see [D]) and their semiclassical counterpart, Poisson Lie groups, are an essential algebraic structure underlying three related subjects: integrable models of statistical mechanics, conformal field theory and integrable models of quantum field theory in 1+1 dimensions. Still, some points remain obscure ...
